For over three decades I have personally delivered fluid power training to literally thousands of people around the world. Why should people, due to their circumstances beyond their control, be denied world-class fluid power training? For example, our men and women in uniform who can learn fluid power while deployed? How about workers that work rotating shifts? How about people in countries that due to socio-economic conditions cannot get training? What about stay-at-home moms and dads? How to Interpret Fluid Power Symbols - A hydraulic schematic tells a detailed “story” about a hydraulic system using symbols rather than words.

It tells the reader what components a system consists of. It shows if and how components interact with one another. It also shows how the oil flows through the system.

It is unwise for an “illiterate” person to work on a hydraulic system because it is dangerous. This course is based on an extremely popular book written by Rory McLaren with the same title. Rory’s unique way of teaching symbols is to place a sectional diagram of a component alongside its symbol, and then step-by-step show what each symbol within a symbol represents within that component. There is simply no easier way to learn ISO symbols.
