"You've Got Mail." That famous line from the movie with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan always makes me smile.
This week, I received a piece of mail from the person who?delivers?my mail (the paper kind). Despite all our complaints about Canada Post, I couldn't be more satisfied.
While?she was away?on vacation, I asked her colleague to stop delivering junk mail. When she returned, she left a handwritten note in my mailbox. This experience made me realize something important: she's not just doing her job.
She genuinely cares about doing her job well. My home office is at the front of the house, and every time we see each other, she waves and smiles.
More Than Just a Job
In a world where we often focus on the negatives, it's refreshing to acknowledge and appreciate those who go above and beyond in their roles. My mail carrier is one of those people. Her dedication and attention to detail have significantly impacted my daily life.
I know my mail is in good hands when she's on duty. It's not just about delivering letters and packages; it's about the human touch she adds to her work. Whether it's a friendly wave or ensuring my mail is safely tucked away, her efforts do not go unnoticed.
