Flowrox pinch valve in chemical industries
Flowrox pinch valves are ideal solutions where shut-off and control applications involve abrasive or corrosive slurries, powders or coarse substances.
In chemical industry, Flowrox valves and pumps have proven their suitability for many challenging applications. Process challenges in this industry include corrosion, abrasion, shear sensitive or toxic materials, different viscosities, explosion danger and environmental concerns.
A rubber sleeve is pinched by steel bars on the centreline of the valve to close. To close the pinch valve, you begin by stretching the rubber sleeve. As you stretch the rubber sleeve, the material or scale build-up begins to scale. As you continue to close the valve, the flaking becomes greater, but the fluid velocity increases substantially. Thus, the lime scale is pressure washed from the elastic.
If the most common rubber material used in Flowrox pinch are the SBRT & EPDM, for special purpose chemical applications Flowrox have application specific sleeve material in CR; FPM; CSM; IIR and PU
Flowrox has engineered its pinch valve at full bore with no flow restrictions, allowing processes with abrasive or corrosive fluids, such as lime slurry or mineral slurries.
