Flowdrilling is a cost effective alternative to nutserts, welded nuts etc where the parent metal is displaced to create material thickness several times the original. This can then be tapped negating the need for nutserts, clinch nuts. The process can be carried out on a standard pillar drill, milling machine, CNC. There is also a bench mounted unit called a Flow2Go which allows for mobile flowdrilling. Flowdrilling is suitable in Carbon Steel, Stainless steel, Aluminium, Copper, Brass and numerous alloys. Material thicknesses from 0.5mm thru to 10mm and hole sizes from 2mm thru to 32mm. Flowdrill.com
