Flow your way to your goals!
Aligning your environmental triggers to induce flow in your organization, like we talked about in my last article, is a lot like creating a channel for water.
When water is influenced to focus, it creates a vortex of power, an unstoppable force of energy. F cubed, Flow Follows Focus.
Flow requires focus. More importantly though, focus… requires flow.
Individuals must possess the psychological triggers to create the inner state of flow, individuals must inherit the characteristics of water so that the desired vortex of power can be created.
Clear goals. Clear waters. When we know where our attention should go, our movements are swift and concise. Where the big goals that we allude to for the environment create an environment of passion and vision, clear goals allow us to see the next steps so that your movement is effortless and in light of the mission in mind.
Remember, the goal is for action and awareness to merge, so that we are pulled into a deep state of now.
When moving quickly, immediate feedback is essential. Water responds immediately to its surrounding feedback. While clear goals help make movement effortless, feedback helps us accomplish those goals more effectively.
Immediate feedback is cause-and-effect focused into a moment. Tighten feedback loops. Limit off tasks, and wandering. Ask for more input. And you all but guarantee the constructs required to have the characteristics of water.
Are you clear on your goals? Is your feedback immediate?
Next we talk about what it really means to gain clarity so that together we can become individuals who are able to access the optimal performance that flow creates.
