Flow Mat – Easily Conform to Complex Shapes in RTM

The Glass Flow Mat is a type of reinforcement material that consists of a non-woven synthetic core weighing 250gsm, which is sandwiched between two 600gsm glass mats that are stitched on either side of the core. It is specifically designed for use in closed-mold processes such as Resin Transfer Molding (RTM).

Some of its key features include its ability to easily conform to complex shapes, which can save time and labor. The thickness of the glass flow mat can also be adapted to suit the needs of the part being produced. Its synthetic core has good resilience and compressibility to adapt to different thicknesses of parts. Additionally, it provides a great surface appearance and has high permeability for excellent flow characteristics.

Importantly, the glass flow mat lacks a chemical binder, which allows for good impregnation of the reinforcement during the molding process.
