Together with FDRA and Material Exchange we had planned a fantastic week-long event in Portland early May called F.L.O.W. which stands for: Footwear Industry Learning Optimal Digital Workflow.
Due to the corona crisis it cannot happen, but.... in this case that might actually be a blessing in disguise!
Since the festival was focusing on teaching the footwear industry how to create an optimal digital workflow, we decided that we should make the whole event digital then! Much more appropriate!
So we have now turned the entire event into a series of webinars for decision makers that need to build and manage the optimal digital workflow and another series of online courses and workshops for those who actually need to do the digital product development and want to increase their skills.
The webinars and courses will start from mid May and will span across several months, rather than putting them all in one week. This way, you all have time to follow them with your teams and can discuss, digest and actually build and/or improve your own digital workflow as we go along.

Mitch Harvey: 3D Innovation Manager at Deckers Brands. Most people might assume that the big sports brands have the most advanced digital workflows, but we dare say that Deckers Brands is the absolute leader in the footwear industry when it comes to this subject, with a workflow that is almost fully digital and is the most streamlined one we know.
Kostika Spaho, also known as the "3D Ninja". He is the 3D program lead for KEEN and Co-Founder and CTO of Ica & Kostika. He is a wizard in combining both 2D and 3D design software in the most efficient way possible and an expert in 3D printing.
Bastiaan Geluk is probably the most seasoned 3D workflow expert out there, for both footwear and apparel. He only just started a new job as Head of Digital Fashion at INDG, but before that he was Director of 3D & Digital Creation for Adidas HQ in Germany for more than 4 years and before that, he had a similar role for 9 years at Nike's European HQ.
Andrey Golub has the broadest experience of the pack, creating advanced digital and VR solutions for retail and e-commerce with his company ELSE Corp and since recently he is also General Manager Italy of ICOL Group, one of the most sophisticated suppliers of machinery for automated leather cutting and robotic manufacturing of footwear.
In this webinar they will talk about how they envision the ideal digital workflow for all sides of the footwear industry and which obstacles they had - or still face - in creating that.
This kick off webinar will be a highly interactive talk show during which you can also ask lots of questions, it is not a series of lectures. Our guests will be interviewed by expert hosts Nicoline van Enter, Founder of Footwearology by The Footwearists and Andy Polk, Senior Vice President of FDRA.
