The Florida Center for Nursing Kicks Off Community Engagement Tour

FCN will soon make the first stop on its Community Engagement Tour.

The inaugural workshop will take place on May 21, 2024, at Indian River State College, 10am. The tour is an opportunity for healthcare leaders to hear directly from the community about issues impacting healthcare. At each meeting, participants are invited to:

• Review and comment on nursing workforce data and needs specific to their community, and
• Recommend systemic changes, including strategies for implementation of recommended changes.

Following this first workshop in the Southeast nursing region, the FCN will travel to the seven other nursing regions it has designated across Florida: Northwest, North Central, Northeast, East Central, West Central, Southwest, and South.

The FCN is committed to listening to nurses, educators, consumers, business and industry partners, lawmakers, and other health care providers about issues impacting the nursing workforce and the state of health care in Florida.
