Man, the hits keep coming. And I don't mean Top 10 music hits either, but the recent big "hits" to community that were experienced in North Carolina due to the after effects of Hurricane Helene. More flooding than normal, and the city of Asheville, North Carolina experiencing a 100 year flood. That's crazy. Or is it? (It had major flooding in 1916, but people forget that.)
So many people don't want to acknowledge climate change -- the word or the idea-- with its weather patterns producing more and more severe, up and down, weird weather. J. D. Vance may call it "weird science," and it IS weird when my relatives east of San Francisco experience 90 and 100 degree weather in October!
And now so many are dealing with what is left in parts of Florida because of Hurricane Milton, running across the Gulf coast around Tampa. Not the safest state to live in this time of year.
And sometimes the end result leaves such devastation. Many years ago my parents in Ft. Lauderdale were living just above the "brunt" of a hurricane that caused severe damage to homes in the Miami area. Florida has been lucky for several years, hurricanes usually churning up the coast and zeroing in on North Carolina's Outer Banks. But this inland business, all the way to Asheville, is freaky, and many thousands (millions in Florida) are without power.
Welcome to climate change!

What to do, what to do?
We need a national policy (international too), a policy other countries will also embrace. It's in my soon to be out eBook/ print book: "Nature vs. Technology -- Who's Winning?"
Are we (human nature) winning this argument? With all the heat, fires, hurricanes out there, no one is seriously discussing how to address all that C02 up in the troposphere. And what about cars? Is electric better? Do we "have" to have robots and A.I. doing everything for us?
