Flood of epic proportions in South TX...
Record amount of water. Rivers overflowing. Just how bad is it? I was checking live USGS Mapper reporting live water flow rate and water level in rivers, streams and bayous. Couple examples:
Near Alvin, TX - flow rate is more than 10 times than max in last 55 years, 200 times more than mean. Flooded since Aug 26th.
Near Wharton, TX - 10 times more than 78 year max; 50 times more than mean. Flooded since Aug 28.
Likely Harvey seems to go toward East TX/LA. Live Harvey Path map with markers to water level - you can check your near-by waterway for up to date info.
But still - more rain falling upon us. It would take several days for all of this water to clear away. And since we have no place/way to go...
