Flo will always stand up for the health of women

Having read the recent news regarding Roe v Wade, as a clinician and a woman, I feel Flo has to address this issue directly, and stand up for women’s health rights.

Flo’s mission is to build a better future for female health, and that’s why we are aligned with the World Health Organization (WHO): Being able to obtain a safe abortion is a crucial part of health care.

Women who are denied abortions experience worse health outcomes. Banning abortion increases the number of unsafe abortions , leads to more cases of maternal death , and a 6x increase in the chance of developing a life-threatening condition .?

Contrary to popular belief, restricting access to abortions does not reduce the number of abortions that take place. Studies have shown that the highest rates of abortion occur in countries with the most legal restrictions.?

We also agree with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG ) in supporting “activities which prevent unintended pregnancy”.?
