Four Members of Notorious Cybercrime Group ‘FIN9’ Charged for Roles in Attacking U.S. Companies
Four Vietnamese nationals were charged for their roles in computer intrusions that caused over $71 million in losses. The defendants, members of the cybercrime group FIN9, hacked U.S. companies from May 2018 to October 2021, stealing non-public information, employee benefits, and funds. They accessed networks through phishing and supply chain attacks, then exfiltrated data and re-directed employee benefits like gift cards.
