FLEXIBLE COOKING FOR BUTCHERS

You may have already seen recent articles showcasing the benefits of MKN’s new FlexiCombi combi steamer for butchers, particularly those that have diversified into hot food to go, party and catering services and bakery products to support additional income streams.

Here I look at the key features of the new FlexiChef multifunctional appliance, adding value for butchers with smart cooking and smart cleaning.

Quicker cooking

FlexiChef was already up to two times faster than conventional pressure cooking technology and up to three times faster than conventional cooking equipment. Now, with the enhancements on the latest model, it is up to a further 10% faster than its predecessor. Shorter production times mean higher productivity – giving butchers the ability to cook hot food to go such as stews and chillis more quickly.

Fully automatic cleaning

Our groundbreaking and unique SpaceClean fully automatic cleaning technology makes it possible to clean the pan fully automatically in just two minutes, with minimal water consumption of just 26 litres and without any chemicals.

For butchers, this means eliminating large quantities of cleaning water and putting an end to time-consuming, manual cleaning of pans with fully automatic and effortless cleaning, with no set-up process at all.

Flexible cooking zones

Keeping a fast pace is essential during kitchen peak hours, when preparing lunch menus and out-of-home orders. Thanks to MKN FlexiZone, the FlexiChef can cook a complete dish or different products in just one pan all at the same time.

We’ve designed the base of the pan so it can be divided in up to three zones, with separate controls for the temperature and cooking time of each zone. You can fry chicken breast fillets in two thirds, while preparing vegetables in the third, for example. This gives you flexibility and saves not only space, but also time and energy, because zones not being used can be simply switched off.
