Created out of necessity over 10 years ago, we aim to improve the orthotic care for patients in need. Quality patient care was slowly being replaced by major orthotic and prosthetic facilities that focused on revenue instead of patient satisfaction. We want to bring the focus back to the patient.

We are able to offer a variety of account types through Medkinect and Orthokinect, providing convenience to our clients. These billing options are further detailed below.

Wholesale

We purchase products from many separate manufacturers in bulk to attain cost savings. As such, we are able to pass substantial saving on to our clients. This gives us the unique ability to purchase products for our clients through multiple manufacturers. For example, many physicians like brace “x” from one manufacturer but like brace “y” from a different manufacturer in the same physician specialty. Most distributors can only supply bracing from one particular manufacturer as they’re exclusive. By working with Medkinect, our clients are able to get the resources they need, from the manufacturers they want.

Stock & Bill

Stock & Bill allows for product consignment, at no cost to the practice, using our Orthokinect billing option. Many accounts depend on this to provide the best devices available while addressing all of their patient DME requirements. We do much more than making sure the practice’s shelves are stocked with products. We handle all of the heavy lifting while providing patient-specific direct contact. Although the patients remain with the practice, we treat them as if they’re our family. Additionally, we provide a 24/7 hotline to answer any questions or concerns.

Referral

This is the ultimate compliment to us. A physician or practice may refer patients to an Orthokinect location to fulfill their patient needs. These patients often require extra attention from one of our Orthotists on staff. We promise same day appointments with all referrals. We educate the patient, find the correct device, and fit the patient with certified fitters. Many times, we schedule times to meet the patient at their homes to provide white-glove care and to minimize patient inconvenience. Any referring physician can rest assured that we will do everything possible to keep their patients happy.

Hybrid

Typically, medical practices carry most of the major insurance carriers for their patients. Should the practice not be in-network with a specific insurance, they would charge the patient cash or have to send the patient elsewhere. In these instances, the practice would refer the patient to us, as we invite patient referrals from all insurances and difficult cases so that every patient gets the same great care. Additionally, as a sign of building a relationship and to assist in practice needs, we will educate the practice and assist in any insurance credentialing the practice may need. We provide our expertise based on physician preference. This is a win-win scenario for everyone involved.
