Fleet Visibility

Your Fleet will always speak for itself , and you will not have any control of what it says while on the road but can do a lot before the vehicles leave your workshop. Look for the basic  items like Cleanliness,  dents , scratches and drivers clad.

There is no greater headache like being associated with vehicles that are dilapidated and look terrible. The tow truck owner should not be your friend unless you are moving the vehicle to a Show and do not want it to touch the ground. Why should you have vehicles that are smoking all over and still want to be smart on the road. Take care of your brand and it will take care of you. Your Fleet advertises for your company brand and speaks of what you believe.

Someone once asked me this question .

"Where are aeroplanes tested before they take off with passengers on board?"

My answer came almost natural until I listened to myself....On the ground. Every thing must be perfect on the ground before the pilot even attempts to roll it on the runway. In the same way , if your Fleet is not sorted at your base , then the world will put on very dark sunglasses when your vehicles pass by.

So as the person in charge of a Fleet in the organisation , ensure you carry the Quality check almost yourself. First impression is excellent. Weather it is a Cab , a Tour Van , A Courier Van or a K9Truck, ensure the basics are perfect, Safety is adhered to and the  Fleet will be visible to make Customers heads turn.

• Drivers Documentations
• Traffic act
• Customer Care
• Well driven number
