Hello Fellow Fleet & Mobility Players,
In January, Fleet Mobility Today (FMT) was filled with news, Snapshots, Podcasts, and an Expert Talks interview and here is a summary of what took place during the first few weeks of the year.
To start 2025 with a bang, we covered the CES tech conference in Las Vegas in early January, a huge event which highlighted concept vehicles such as self-driving trucks and flying cars and featured several automobile industry announcements.
Among the companies in the spotlight were Honda,?Sony,?NVIDIA, Toyota Motor Corporation,?Aurora,?BMW Group,?Hyundai Motor Company (?????),?ZEISS Group,?KIA Motors?and?XPENG.
Meanwhile, FMT highlighted the best-ranking automobile brands based on consumer Satisfaction and Reliability reports carried out by US-based thinktank Consumer Reports. Among those with top marks are Lexus, Subaru Corporation, BMW Group, Toyota Motor Corporation, and?Honda.
Finally, let’s not forget Claudia Marquez who was named Chief Operating Officer (COO) for?Hyundai Motor America in January. Claudia was previously COO of Genesis Motor North America where she led the brand in the United States and Canada for the past three years.
Besides the new Hyundai COO, new job appointments were announced for two executives at Stellantis South America.
Frederico Battaglia was appointed Vice President of Fiat and Abarth and Alessandra Souza was named Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Stellantis.
Country Snapshots
Several video Snapshots were published in January, featuring the economic outlook as well as key automobile fleet and energy pricing data in four specific countries. Those featured were Snapshots on the United States, Brazil, Mexico, and Canada.

Audio Podcasts
At the same time, various audio podcasts were published last month. Besides one addressing the Future of the Auto Industry based on what took place at CES 2025, we could not go without creating a podcast featuring the market expectations in the wake of US president Donald Trump who took office on January 20. Titled “Trump is back, but what now auto industry?”, it was also the focus of our last Newsletter.
Meanwhile, we also published a podcast about Vehicle Suppliers in the Americas and another which also addressed Vehicles in the Americas but more focused on Trends & Evolution.

Overseeing a fleet of nearly 2,000 vehicles and managing some 10,000 travelers, Sharon and Expert Talks host Daniel Bland talked about Roche’s journey toward electrifying its entire fleet.
Among the topics discussed during the 25-minute talk was reducing emissions as well as fuel and maintenance savings and the importance of education and training.
