What is the Manage to Own Program?

Fleet Clean’s Manage to Own Program is designed to train a candidate to become a franchise owner. The candidate is hired as a corporate employee and runs the corporate operation as an Operations Manager while going through the program. Once the program is completed the candidate has the option to purchase the corporate operation and run it as a franchise location. Through the program there is an outsourced funding option for the purchase.

There are two options for candidates the Manage to Own Program:

Candidate Option 1 – Industry Individual

Candidate Option 1 is an individual that has worked in the mobile cleaning industry and has industry knowledge. The level of knowledge or experience can be at any level. This individual must have the following characteristics to be a candidate for this program:

  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ambition to grow and scale the business within a 6-to-18-month period.
  • The ability to be hands-on in all aspects of the business.
  • The passion to succeed.
  • The ability to be hands on.

Candidate Option 2 – Small to Mid-Size Business Owner Looking to Scale to the Next Level

Candidate Option 2 is an individual that owns their own mobile cleaning company that is experiencing challenges scaling their business to the next level. Whether the scaling challenges are support, financial, equipment, or employees Fleet Clean can provide the help and support needed to achieve growth to the next level.

Fleet Clean can purchase the business and hire the owner as a corporate operations manager. Once the transition is completed, the Manage to Own Program begins and Fleet Clean provides the support, equipment, and guidance to grow the location. At the end of the program, the Operations Manager has the option to purchase the location. This individual must have the following characteristics to be a candidate for this program:

  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ambition to grow and scale the business within a 6-to-18-month period.
  • The ability to be hands-on in all aspects of the business.
  • The passion to succeed.
  • The ability to be hands on.

What does the program entail?

The Manage to Own Program provides a structured growth plan to grow the candidate and the corporate operation.

The structured growth plan for the candidates is detailed below based on the Candidate Option types.

Candidate Option 1 – Industry Individual

The program for an industry individual would be as follows:

After program acceptance, the candidate is hired as a corporate operations manager and training begins.

Phase 1

  • The candidate has one full week of training at our headquarters in Henderson, NV. During this week of training the operations manager learns the business of Fleet Clean.

Phase 2

  • Hands-on training within the local market by the Director of New Operations. During this phase, the operations manager has hands on training out in the field and within the local office. A forecasted sales growth plan for the operation is presented, the operations manager is a key component in assisting with sales growth.

Phase 3

  • Phase 3 is focused on communication. The communication portion has to levels:

Level 1 is customer interaction and internal communication as well as priority responsiveness.

Level 2 is prospecting and cold calling on current and prospective customers.

Phase 4

  • Once the operations manager has graduated phase 3, the phase 4 portion of the program is learning to manage and run your own business. During this phase the operations manager is introduced to understanding budgets, cost, and labor, managing the P&L of the location, and the ebbs and flows of running your own business. Also included in phase 3 is managing and understanding the maintenance of your fleet. Maintaining a consistent profitable operation is key to moving on to phase 4.

Phase 5

  • To enter Phase 5, the operations manager must graduate from phase 4. During phase 5, the transition of a corporate operation to a franchise operation begins. At the end of phase 5, the operations manager is now the owner of this new franchise location.

Type 2 – Small to Mid-Size Business Owner Looking to Scale to the Next Level

The program for a small to mid-size business owner would be as follows:

How long does the program take?

The length of the program depends upon the individual. Programs are typically a 6-to-18-month period, but this timetable can be longer or shorter depending on the individual’s growth through the program.

What support is provided after program completion?

After the M2O Program is completed, the Director of New Operations will remain the point of contact for any assistance needed to the Operations Manager that is now the new franchise owner.
