Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, April 18, 2023 – Flawless Events and Laurendeau & Associates announced today that they are joining forces to co-curate the next #Enkopa Summit.

Flawless and L&A are committed to make Enkopa Summit a business- focused event, thought-leadership-driven, that will enable all stakeholders to converge in Addis to deep dive into the opportunities the entrepreneurship and tech arena offer in Ethiopia, and to create meaningful and long-lasting connections. Indeed, Enkopa Summit is scheduled to be an annual event connecting global and local entrepreneurship experts, technology innovators and startups with pre-qualified CxO’s, Heads of Business Transformation or Innovation, government authorities, and investors.

The event will feature insightful panel discussions, exciting keynotes, enterprise use-case presentations, product showcase, tech talks, and closed-door discussions with investors. Attendees will also be able to witness next-gen solutions from global tech leaders and explore their relevance and impact on Ethiopia and the East-Africa region.

It is to be recalled that in 2020, the former Jobs Creation Commission launched a national movement, Enkopa, to celebrate and promote Ethiopian Entrepreneurship stories, especially untold ones, to encourage all stakeholders (engineers, startupers, ecosystem builders, entrepreneurs, policy makers, educators, etc.) to build a thriving Entrepreneurship ecosystem. It is a movement with pan African ambition, to increase collaboration between African countries and collectively own the narrative on Entrepreneurship, to essentially re-brand our continent.

In August 2022, a pilot Enkopa Summit was held in conjunction with the National Jobs Summit.

In 2023, the Enkopa Summit will be held yet again in Addis Ababa Ethiopia as a private sector led initiative, fully owned by the private sector and with strong support from the public sector.

Indeed, the Ministry of Labor and Skill- FDRE ("MoLS") is delighted that Flawless- the most innovative and a leading Event Management Company in Ethiopia- as well as L&A - a Strategy Management Consulting Firm leading the Enkopa project and movement from inception- have stepped up to lead the Enkopa Summit in 2023 and beyond.

Flawless and L&A will partner to design, manage, and deliver the Enkopa Summit with full backing from the MoLS.
