Flavors
Have you ever wondered if there are different flavors of air?
Before you close this tab, hear me out:
Let's play a word association game.
I give you words. You associate:
Public restroom
BBQ restaurant
Nature reserve
See, flavors of air.
Extremely different!
Yet, you are rarely thinking about one when you are smelling another.
"He has no sense!"
I have 5, actually. 2 will be touched on today.
Is it possible to taste two flavors at once?
If you opt for the double (or triple) scoop of ice cream, the answer is yes.
If you find a bathroom in the middle of the woods, you should hold it.
How can strawberry and chocolate taste so different, but blend so well together?
When you cook at home, the concoctions you create can look...kooky.
Yet, they still taste good...sometimes.
Individual ingredients do not mind being blended with seemingly conflicting ones.
Our noses are pickier. You can mask an odor, but the stench still sits.
Does your brain have a nose or a tongue?
Is your mind's palate recognizing culinary creativity or isolated ingredients?
Can you cover the smell of one negative emotion with another positive emotion?
Maybe, but what if you eliminated the odor daily?
How? By pulling the weeds from the roots.
Understand why you may feel a certain way or multiple ways at the same time.
Think about it. Write about it. Talk about it.
Experience the flavors of life with a holistic lens.
