In February 2020, Tracey Concrete, in collaboration with Ward & Burke, embarked on an exceptional journey, contributing to a ground-breaking tunnelling project in Finland.

Tracey Concrete supplied Ward & Burke with bespoke wetcast jacking pipes for a major tunnelling project. These bespoke tunnelling pipes were manufactured in our production facility in Enniskillen.

They were meticulously hauled to Killybegs before being shipped to Turku, Finland. This achievement highlighted our dedication to providing excellent precast tunnelling solutions for our partners worldwide.

Project Milestones:

• TBM lowered into launch shaft: June 24
• Tunnelling commenced: June 29
• Pipeline completion: August 4
• Average pace: 25m per day These milestones were achieved through relentless dedication and round-the-clock efforts, with teams working in two shifts, jacking 24 hours a day

• Project Cost: €48m
• Pipeline Length: 804m
• Pipeline Turns: 3 bends
• Life Expectancy: 100 Years
