Meet Avuya??

It all started back on the 1st of November 2012 when Avuya joined the Herd as a call centre agent in Delft. Being thrown into a demanding environment, it was clear that Avuya would have to sink or swim. With perseverance and dedication, he set out on a path of continuous growth. Today, over a decade later, he is an Integrations Analyst in the Tech department at the Obs office.?

Moving from Strength to Strength?

Avuya’s journey has been one full of achievements, showcasing his unwavering commitment to achieving big things within the company. Transitioning from call centre to business support and then to 1FY Integrations was a major milestone, overcoming what seemed like an impossible challenge at the time. From there, he continued on to the 1ForYou integrations team, eventually moving to his current role as an Integrations Analyst in the Tech department.??

He notes that even though he was going through different structures, they all prepared him for the next role. It’s safe to say, Avuya was moving on and moving up in his career, demonstrating his adaptability and commitment to growth.?

Avuya attributes his success to his willingness to take the risk of moving into a new position, even if it may be challenging at first, and leaning on the support of key mentors. He particularly acknowledges Ondela Nontolwana, who played a crucial role in his transitions from the call centre to Business Support and later to 1ForYou integrations.?

Being vocal about his aspirations and having a network of supportive colleagues has made his journey smoother. "Speaking to those around me has led me to the Tech department and having the role I once aspired to," he says.?
