FlameTube story, part 1

FlameTube story, part 1

A few years ago, me and my wife have moved to Germany from Russia, with a great desire to create new products and run innovative start-ups. Immigration is always not easy, and we decided to make something, that would bring sense of positivity, coziness and romance, wherever we are, independently of our life situation. Something small and beautiful, always bringing joy and restoring our mental balance. We worked hard to bring our idea into reality, tried a lot of technical solutions and design ideas... Thus, FlameTube was born. And it was so beautiful!

FlameTube is very unusual electronic device, combining a retro-style shape of a radio tube with contemporary materials and innovative technologies. Inside, it's a microcomputer, equipped with 8-core CPU and a number of sensors, with a display, based on 192 lighting-class LEDs (we called it "Lighting Display"). And the first application we develop, was "Interactive Candle", based on mathematical model of a real candle flame. This magic piece of simulated fire, lighting on by a finger snap, looks and reacts on tilting, moving, blowing, blowing out unbelievably naturally, exactly like a real one.

We started to use the prototype in our everyday life, and found, that our creation really brings cozy and romantic atmosphere into our house. And, it works as a strong message of positivity. The next step was to send this wonderful message to all the people...
