FLAGS WAVING, GOALIE SPRINTING TO THE CAGE, 15 MINUTES ON THE SCOREBOARD: LEAD1NATION! IS ALL ABOUT NAVY LACROSSE!!!

Lacrosse and Annapolis just go together, especially when the United States Naval Academy is playing.

LEAD1 Association schools like the Naval Academy dominate lacrosse, as with so many other sports. If that isn't enough, it was a playoff game. True to the legacy of excellence in Navy lacrosse, there was an award ceremony before the game honoring Chris Fennel, a stellar defenseman.

Fennel has already been honored twice before as Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year. He has certainly established a trend for that award during his career at Annapolis, to state the obvious. His performance at the playoff game certainly reinforced his claim to winning the award for the third time.

Watching Navy score is as rewarding on the field...

...as it is on the jumbotron above....

...also at the stadium is an exhibit of another high performance Navy effort....

Leaving the game, there is a reminder of what Navy brings to every effort, whether on the playing field, in the classroom, or in service to the country!
