F**k Your Family & Friends!

F**k Your Family & Friends!

Find the 1k strangers that will rock with you, and sell them $100 of products/services.

"Taps Mic. Is this thing on?"

Hey Bosses!

It's time to stop waiting for the people you know to support your business and stop complaining about it. Why should they? There are over 8 billion people on this planet, and you only know a handful of them. Instead, focus on finding the 1,000 strangers who will rock with you and buy $100 worth of your products or services. That alone will bring you to a total of $100,000. Nurture these customers and treat them with excellence, and have them refer you to five more people each. That's a total of 5,000 new customers and a grand total of $500,000. Math is your friend, my friend!

The people you "know" may or may not support you, and even if they are your friends, they shouldn't feel obligated to break bread with you. It's not fair to expect them to support your business just because you know them. You need to find your customer base among those who are interested in your product or service and nurture those relationships.

Term Of The Week: Collective Illusion

A collective illusion is a situation in which most group members go along with an opinion they disagree simply because they incorrectly believe that the majority also agrees. We've known about collective illusions for over 100 years, but our cultural and technological conditions have changed, making it easier to create and sustain these illusions rapidly.

Collective illusions can occur in many areas of life, including politics, business, and social interactions. For example, in politics, people may support a particular candidate simply because they believe everyone else is doing so. Similarly, in business, people may invest in a particular product or service because they believe everyone else is doing so.

The rise of social media has made it easier than ever to create and sustain collective illusions. Social media platforms allow us to curate our echo chambers and surround ourselves with like-minded individuals. This can lead to collective illusions, as people start to believe that their opinion is the majority opinion simply because they are only exposed to similar opinions.

Collective illusions can be harmful, as they can prevent individuals from critically evaluating their own beliefs and opinions. It's important to be aware of the potential for collective illusions and to be willing to challenge your own beliefs and opinions.

In conclusion, it's time to stop relying on the people you know to support your business and start finding your customer base among those who are genuinely interested in your product or service. Collective illusions are a real phenomenon that can be perpetuated by our cultural and technological conditions. We need to be aware of the potential for collective illusions and be willing to challenge our own beliefs and opinions. Let's focus on nurturing genuine relationships with our customers and building our businesses on a solid foundation of support.
