F@%K BEING REASONABLE

Goodbye 2018 and hello 2019! Its the end of the year and everyone is looking forward to making 2019 their best year yet. You're seeing it all over social media. Quotes like "New year new me" or "Out with the old, in with the new." Its great! People are reflecting on where they are at in life and wanting to change for the better. I honestly love it.

For a business owner, its the time of year when you sit back and truly reflect on where your company is and were you want it to go. If you're not where you want to be, you reevaluate your your business and capitalize from there. If you met or exceeded your goals, you make your goals greater thus raising the bar.

What I hate, and I mean absolutely HATE is when you are discussing your goals with others and they kind of snicker, or tell you to set reasonable goals!! Are you f&%king kidding me?!?! Reasonable goals?!?! Reasonable goals are the reason why you have the problems you have now. What are reasonable goals? Things like add 10-20% more revenue for next year?? Is that reasonable enough for you?? F&%k that! I'm not here to mess around and get comfortable with what I have. I am here to dominate my market space and help as many businesses and people I can. It's selfish for you not to work to your full potential! That's right, selfish! Plus, you're going to have the same exact problems staying small are you are going big. I know this first hand.

This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but I am going to say it. If you're are not pushing yourself and constantly growing in your personal life and business, you are selfish. Imagine how much more you could do for your favorite charity or how many more people you could directly help if you had more money and time? I remember growing up and going to church. When the donation bucket came around my family always put $20 into it. When I asked my mom why she doesn't put more she would inform me that we were on a budget and could barely afford that. The reason we couldn't afford that is because both my parents had stop growing and settled. They settled with what they had in life and tried to justify it daily. They would blame their short comings on their employer or not having a college degree. That is the 99% mindset. Now I can go on a pretty long rant about settling with what you have, but that's not with this article is about. Maybe later......

When you're setting your goals, you need to make them unreasonable. If you only did $100K for 2018, you need to set your goals for at least $1million for 2019. You need to break down the plan from quarterly, to monthly, to weekly, to daily, and then to hourly. Once you do that, you will realize that its actually obtainable and you can actually do it. 10x your goals and you will begin to 10x your life. I'm not some guy that's just saying this, I've actually done it and continue to do it.

Don't let lack of funding stop you either. If you truly believe in the service or product you are providing and truly believe it will better the lives of its consumers, you can't lose. When you truly believe in something, you will stop at nothing to make sure people know about it. Money is attracted to attention. Again, if you believe in your product or service why wouldn't you get additional funding to help you grow it?? Funding could help you get the attention your business needs, leading to more sales and better business. If you don't truly believe in what you are providing, you need to stop what you're doing and find something new. We wouldn't have landed on the moon if it wasn't for thinking big and believing in things other thought were impossible. Need I say that it was, unreasonable?!?!

Set unreasonable goals, and crush them. Simple as that.

That is great point of view. I've also heard that setting extreme goals will help you grow, in that if you don't hit those goals you learn from the failure. So either way you're upping your game.?
