?Fixing things in the IT engine room using an SD-WAN

I wrote about Creating a management plane that is separate from the data plane to secure a SD-WAN deployment in a previous article on LinkedIn! This strategy provides a secure solution for the Scotty of the IT engine room to fix stuff.

The Fusion Broadband solutions uses this strategy to provide a management plane. This is combined with a special device management micro-layer that enables an IT engineer to access and resolve remote site problems. Any device management interface at a remote site can be accessed!

As an example, here I'm at home and accessing a UBNT wireless controller and switch.

The solution uses microsocks. The binary is installed in /usr/local/bin with 755 chmod rights.
