Fixing Financial Exclusion

Fixing Financial Exclusion

Allot of work is being done to get more people into the financial system and thus the use of the popular term financial inclusion. However we seem to be missing some fundamental building blocks. To connect the countries we built roads and other rural physical infrastructure. And we have seen this all around us. Build a road and then see how the area starts developing shops homes and industry.

The concept that principles are always working whether we like it or not can never be ignored. So we at NFT Mawazo believe that to get sustainable financial inclusion you must impact the exclusion. So just as the roads helped include communities, we must also now have affordable financial infrastructure. In the banking world ATM's were a game changer for distribution of banking services but if you look at the world bank data on how many ATM's are available for every 100,000 people in most African countries you will see that the numbers are mainly bellow 10 ATM's.

We have now designed and locally built affordable Mobile Money ATM's. The mission is to have an ATM in every Village. Our next prototype should be able to be operational for under $1,500. Since Mobile money accounts have surpassed traditional bank accounts in 19 countries in Africa, we believe this is the most logical path to take.

We are looking for investment partners to make this made in Africa innovation a reality which will not only be a very profitable venture but also positively impact millions of people.

Great innovation. I am happy to get on board.
