Fix it in the good times

?A simple piece of advice , if your business has issues then address then in the good times, don’t wait until there is a slowdown either from the market or seasonal to fix them

?I have worked with a number of businesses who realise that they have issues in their business ?but have decided that they will delay in addressing them because they are too busy and they will get to them when things slow down.?? Let me share with you my experiences and explain why this is the wrong thing to do.

?I have been given all sorts of reasons why the business wants to delay including, but not limited to:

? I am too busy to get to the issues at the moment

????????????This boost in sales could be the turning point for me

? ????????? Let me make hay while the sun shines

?Please be assured that the issues will still be there when things slow down

I have worked with owners who have followed this path and then when things slow down they say that they cannot start to work on the issues because :

???????????? Money is too tight at the moment

? They are too busy trying to get through the lean times

? ? It is just the slowdown in business that’s the issue

?At the risk of being blunt, if the problems exist before the busy period then they will still be there after and they may even be exacerbated by the increase in sales – they need to be addressed whilst there is money in the bank - ?who knows you may be able to make even more money from the busy times and have to struggle less during the low season.

?Don’t put off till tomorrow ………….
