Steel Dynamics, Inc (SDI), one of the largest steel producers in the United States, has received the AIST Project Excellence Award, which recognizes best practices in project management.

The line was designed and supplied by Fives to increase SDI’s production capacity and expand its product portfolio at the Columbus plant.

The TWINGHY project partners gathered at RWTH Aachen University to share research findings and assess the compatibility of refractory materials in the hydrogen-heated furnace. This meeting celebrated the consortium’s first anniversary, which is committed to reducing CO2 emissions through the application of hybrid burners and digital twin technology.
