Fives' Highlights - APRIL 2023

1. Baowu Steel Group, the largest steel producer in China, is investing heavily in high-performance electrical steel production to serve the growing needs of e-mobility at its Shanghai site.

In partnership with Fives, a leading engineering group with expertise in steel processing and technology, Baowu has designed and delivered thermal sections for a new annealing and pickling line (APL) and two new annealing and coating lines. These lines are designed to produce high-quality non-grain-oriented grades for electric vehicle motors. The thermal section, which is key for the quality and performance of electrical steel, includes a horizontal furnace capable of reaching a strip temperature of 1,100 °C with the AdvanTek? combustion system, as well as the Best Available Technology for furnace atmosphere management. 2. Fives partnered with Plug Power and Atlas Copco to support global green hydrogen production targets

法孚集团 has formed a partnership with Plug Power and 阿特拉斯·科普柯 Gas & Process Division to provide high-quality brazed aluminum heat exchangers for liquefaction plants, with the aim of helping Plug Power supply 500 tons of green liquid hydrogen per day by 2025 and 1,000 tons per day globally by 2028. Fives has been involved in the development of hydrogen for many years and specializes in designing cutting-edge cryogenic equipment for the liquefaction of the hydrogen.
