... and come back time and time again. THIS APPLIES TO FACEBOOK POSTS AND LINKED IN POSTS JUST FOLLOW THESE FIVE STEPS
The secret, make your posts into mini blogs:
1. PROVIDE ACTIONABLE ITEMS
Create your content to teach people. Have a reputation where people visit your page to learn.
When someone reads your post let them take away something that will help them.
(People like lists) use short lists of actionable advice. Keep it under 400 words, and break it up with action steps.
Feel happy about helping people through your writing.
2.BE USEFUL
We are bombarded with millions of messages, ensure that you make your post useful.
Give an actionable tip or put a smile on a face.
Every time you write a post ask yourself if the person reading it is going to get something out of it.
You want them to walk away from your post thinking, “damn, I needed that.”
3.USE A QUALITY IMAGE TO ATTRACT
We live in a visual world. Graphics draw people into your blog post. .
When someone shares your posts on Facebook, it is usually accompanied by an image.
If you don’t have a shareable / pinnable image in your post then you are missing out on a potentially large chunk of traffic.
You don't need to be a graphic designer, there are great sources of amazing images – search for FREE IMAGES or be prepared to pay a couple of dollars per post for an eye catching image.
4. BE YOU
Write like you are talking to yourself. Write like you speak, pretend you’re in a bar having a conversation
When you write in a diary or journal you don’t worry about sounding professional, you just write and it sounds like you.
You want to provide solutions and ideas, but you also want them to build a connection with you. They can’t do that with a robot.
5. SHOW AUTHORITY
People want to be able to relate to you.
Show that you have the knowledge and share that knowledge, or show that you are going through the process of gaining that knowledge.
That is showing your authority.
FINALLY, USE A CALL TO ACTION
Ask for comments, ask for shares, and ask for feedback… As I am doing now –
Please post your comments, share, and like and I will be sooo happy!
