Check your progress against five key steps that most organizations should be able to complete prior to November 5th:

  1. Remind managers and employees about voting time off policies to ensure they are clear and widely understood (and encourage early voting)
  2. Update and recirculate guidelines for respectful dialogue in the workplace, on employee work channels (e.g,. Slack), and when representing the brand externally (e.g., on social media);
  3. Circulate resources to help employees critically evaluate the information they encounter (e.g. nonpartisan fact checking tools like factcheck.org , or guidance on identifying AI misinformation from Brennan Center for Justice );
  4. Remind employees about any mental health benefits and share election-related mental health resource (e.g. Navigating Election Anxiety & Political Stress at Work & Life Webinar );
  5. Conduct a scenario planning exercise to get ahead of potential post-election impacts.
