Five Ways Being Sharper In Business Will Help You To Grow

Five Ways Being Sharper In Business Will Help You To Grow

“Don’t wish things were easier, wish you were better” - Jim Rohn

I’ve loved this quote on a personal level ever since I could remember, but it also has so much meaning that’s applicable to businesses.

And it’s this quote that’s come front of mind again after a recent conversation with a client who said the things that capture her attention are those [messages] that are so specific to her.

Let’s bold and italicise that whole line…

The things that capture her attention are those [messages] that are so specific to her.

We’ve all moved on from generic statements used in campaigns and marketing by companies and businesses working hard for our attention.

From hooks and headlines to promises, next steps and call to actions, this article is an invitation for your business to get sharper so you can get far greater results because as we know, what once worked a treat is now struggling to keep a business afloat - so it’s time we not only get savvier, it’s time we get sharper.

For example, saying you help businesses drive more traffic to their website might now need to look like, we help X businesses drive X-amount of traffic in X-timeframe - make it far more specific.

Below are just some of the areas you can sharpen the axe, get deeper and speak clearer:

1. Who you target

What type of client is it, what do they look like, how can you identify them, what makes them different from the broader market?

2. Your messaging

How can you get clearer on the message you’re wanting to portray, how can you make it more tangible or real for your market, your market has likely evolved it’s buying behaviour so how can your messaging evolve too?

3. Showcasing results

What kind of results specifically, how can you make it tangible and measurable, for what specific type of client?

4. Matching your offer

How can the service you provide meet the needs of your clients and future clients better, what needs to be included and even excluded, what else or how different should your service offering encapsulate?

5. Systems, processes and efficiencies

What efficiencies can you deploy in all areas of business, reducing your time spent per service is literally money back in your pocket to work with more clients, what systems do you need to help speed things up for you, your team and your clients?

Ambiguity and assumptions are not going to cut it as we go into 2025 and beyond, and this applies to all areas of your business. The sharper we can get whether that's with lead generation or in our systems and processes, the greater chances you will have to move with the market and continue to grow your business.
