??Five ways to adopt a CLEAN lifestyle and the reasons you'll want to??
As professional women, we often find ourselves juggling numerous responsibilities. At the Centre we enjoy supporting women to create functional organisational systems to declutter both your physical and digital spaces and create more efficient and even inspiring spaces at home and at work.?
The acronym CLEAN can be a useful reminder:
C - Clear: A cluttered environment, be it your office or your social media feed, can feel like a weight on your shoulders, contributing to stress and anxiety. By decluttering, you're creating a serene, organised space that promotes a sense of control and safety, satisfaction, peace of mind and reduces stress levels. Decluttering your digital life also helps eliminate distractions, letting you reclaim your precious time for more efficient use. Regularly clear out unnecessary items and distractions from your workspace and digital life. Some of us find the best time for this sort of thing is at the start or end of a season, others find the drive to do this at a particular time each month. Whatever timeframe works as long as it’s regular, will keep your spaces and mind clear.
L - Liberate: Liberate your mind from clutter through short bursts of mindfulness meditation or mindful movement. Other ways to organise and order your thoughts include through counselling, journalling, creative pursuits, exercise and colour coded to do lists or schedules.
E - Efficiency: Strive for efficiency by keeping your physical and digital spaces organised so you don’t spend too much time trying to find that document or resource that you need. Have a ‘go to’ folder or notepad for each major project, or colour code and highlight so it’s easy to find. It’s also a good idea to get some training in whatever software or new device you may be using or ask people what their processes are as this gives you a chance to adapt to a new more efficient way of working.?
