Five Ways of Adaptability

When I joined the Bangkit 2024 program, being adaptable was really important to handle the different learning styles and challenges. Here’s how I adjusted in five key areas: interacting, achieving, learning, working, and thinking.

Interacting: Improving Communication Through Collaboration

I met people from various backgrounds and universities, especially during mentoring sessions, consultations, and the capstone project. This experience helped me adapt my communication style, as I learned to listen closely, understand different ideas, and appreciate new perspectives to deepen my own understanding.

Achieving: Fostering Success Through Goal-Setting

Facing challenges motivated me to set clear goals and stick to a plan. Bangkit’s curriculum helped me break big tasks into smaller steps. By doing this, I managed to keep all my tasks ahead of schedule and learned how goal-setting leads to success.

Learning: Embracing Growth Through Active Engagement

Bangkit was a transformative learning experience that taught me the value of active engagement. I went beyond traditional studying, diving into hands-on tasks and collaborating with peers, which helped me gain new insights and expand my knowledge.

Working: Thriving in a Collaborative Environment

I learned the importance of thriving in a collaborative setting through the Capstone project, where my team of seven identified problems and developed solutions together. The remote setup required good time management and discipline to meet deadlines, while regular virtual meetings kept us aligned and open about our progress and challenges.

Thinking: Developing a Growth Mindset Through Challenges

I developed a growth mindset that changed how I approach challenges. Bangkit taught me to see obstacles as opportunities to learn and improve. Working on complex projects and embracing different perspectives boosted my critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence in tackling problems creatively.
