Five steps to build your remote lifestyle business in a state of flow

Five steps to build your remote lifestyle business in a state of flow

Are you looking to turn your side hustle into a full-time, remote-lifestyle business...

And to do it in more of a state of effortless action than a state of grind?

We recently welcomed Ray J. Green , founder of Repeatable Revenue, into our Freedom Circle virtual men’s community. Ray helps helps entrepreneurs productize, market, sell, and scale with repeatable systems.

Ray became an entrepreneur in his teens, founding and selling a music promotions company and agency representing EDM artists around the world. He then helped his mom lead the turnaround of a nearly bankrupt, small town florist into a national online retailer - which they sold to investors.?

Ray then had the opportunity to join the world’s largest business federation, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as a membership sales rep. He rose through the ranks to assume full P&L responsibility as Managing Director for the National Small and Midsize Business unit and its 7 revenue channels.

Along the way, he mentored startups at a VC/accelerator and advised growth programs, including SMU's Digital Accelerator Program. After earning his Executive MBA, I took on new challenges as an operator for investment groups, including CEO of a PE backed company and various contract CMO / CRO / COO / CXO roles.?

Our Freedom Circle members were fortunate to have Ray share with them his five-step process to successfully building a remote lifestyle business:

  1. Vision Founder Fit: Before you start building anything, take the time to ask yourself what your end goal is and what you want your business to deliver for you. Reflect on what gives you energy and drains your energy, as well as the clients and tasks you enjoy and those you don't.
  2. Define your Positioning: It's important to be clear about who you are targeting and how you solve a specific problem for them. Don't just think about industry or traditional market segmentation - consider how you can apply your unique skillset to help your target market.
  3. What’s Your Offer?: It's not just about packaging and pricing - it's also about productizing the delivery of your service. By systematizing and operationalizing your process, you can create scalability and repeatability in your business.
  4. Tech and Systems: Don't get caught up in overthinking the tech platforms you need. Start small and agile, and handle problems as they come up. Focus on traffic and getting leads to your funnel.
  5. Sales Process: Having a well-defined and intentional sales process is crucial when you are selling yourself as a product. It can help you avoid feeling rejected and going off course on a call.
