CRM (Customer Relationship Management) - the dreaded acronym of every sales organization. The tool every salesperson and sales manager loves to hate. Management is not sure if they want it, salespeople don't want to use it, and marketing people aren't sure it even helps them.
So, what do you do?
Here are some tips.
- Get what you need. Most people buy a full CRM suite and only use about 30% of it. The rest is a complete waste of money. Buy what you will use and what you will need, and that's it.
- Look for industry specific CRM's and ask for recommendations from other people in your industry.
- Go with free, many have #free #trials and other options. Test some out!
- Make sure your sales and marketing teams are fully committed to using it. If your users are not fully invested in using the tool, and never use it - it (again) is money out the door.
- Have a plan for usage. Think about your process, plan, and strategy. Make sure you stick to it. Every successful organization starts with a well thought out process!
