Glue binding usually for books,or some kind of simple notebooks, the spine of book block are glued after smyth sewn binding. This kind of binding cann't lay flat, that's why usually used for books,it will be a bit inconvenient while writting.

Spiral Binding 

Spiral binding's most advantage is its simple process flow, pages with holes after punched, plus the spring coil then almost done. There are different spirals on the market,make people with more choice to make the notebooks more individualized.

Saddle stitch binding

Saddle stitch binding usually for those notebooks not too thick. This type of binding is most commonly found in school exercise books. Such notebooks not that durable, it usually lasts about six months to a year.
