1. Connection

Remember, you can have one chance to enter the interview room. A confident, smiling face and eagerness about the job matter for your success. You present yourself as professional and serious, and depending on the situation, get comfortable with the panel. Every panel member is watching you, make sure your major attention is on the person asking questions, but you have to show yourself connected with the entire team. Your hand movements and general body language, and responding to questions style connect you with the interviewing panel.

2. Communication/Clarity/Confidence

Always be brief in responding to questions. Be concise if a panel member asks you to share a success story. Avoiding responding in the Yes or No mode. You can only be confident and clearly explain things if you know things.

3. Credibility/Calm/Capability/Command

Be always highly credible in your responses. Only try to answer a question you know about. If you are unsure about the answer to a question, say sorry and allow the member to ask your next question. If you are unclear about the accuracy of some number or dates, mention the word approximately/am not sure that.

4. Care/Concern

Being considerate and caring is most important during an interview. Never blame your previous organization, even if you were terminated. Your responses should always be caring and kind. There is a beautiful quote "Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care."

5. Commitment

On the completion of the interview, your job is to convince the panel of your level of commitment to the position you are being interviewed and that you are the most suitable candidate.
