Five Community Partner Updates
?- Last weekend, in partnership with activewear brand gngr bees we cleared a massive 4000kgs of ghost nets from Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. 20 divers undertook two dives each to free the nets from the reef. We hoped for more, but unfortunately an incoming storm cut the second dive short. This was a huge effort - big thank you to our partners in EarthLanka for this massive effort and to gngr bees for their support. Check out their beautiful, honest garments here.
?- Last weekend Jihad and his team cleared 195 kg of plastic and 95kg of other waste from Jyieh beach in Lebanon. Jihad and his team have been seriously flexing recently - check out some of their content at Greenkeepers Lebanon.

?- Barbz and her team of 24 cleared 136kg of plastic waste and 102kg of mixed waste from the mangroves around Sulima Cotcot Liloan Cebu. Trash which washes down to the coast via the river can get stuck in #mangroves and wrapped around seedlings stunting their growth or suffocating them. Frustratingly, the rubbish collection truck has not been helping and hasn’t been collecting any of the trash Barbz has been collecting recently! Barbz is on the case.
