Five Common Problems and Solutions of Fan Coil Unit.

I. Fan?coil air volume is small, poor cooling capacity:

Under the normal operation of the fan, except for the small intake air volume, the air leakage in the air duct is rare and easy to handle. However, the small intake air volume is mostly caused by the blockage of the filter screen of the return air outlet.

The solution is to clean the filter screen frequently. If it is not cleaned in time, dust and sundries will further stick to the coil fins and wind turbine blades, and the fins will be blocked by dirt, which will lead to the decrease of the ventilation capacity of the fan. Dust will also accumulate on the fan impeller, causing the blade angle to decrease, thus reducing the air volume and increasing the fan current. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the filter screen of the return air outlet. Generally, it should be cleaned at least once every quarter, otherwise the blockage will become more and more serious and the maintenance will become more and more difficult.

II.The fan coil noise:

There are some reasons for the noise of the fan coil. When the fan blades, fan, fan shaft and unit casing of the coil are in a vibrating state during operation, if the coil is used for a long time, the surface of its components will be stained with muddy embroidery and oil stains, which will cause the friction and vibration of the components to be large, and the noise released will be relatively large. When there is air flowing inside the coil unit, noise will be generated when it passes through the return air filter, the air moves in the body, the fins of the heat exchanger are blown by the wind, and the air moves in the fan.

Common causes of fan coil noise:

1, the fan coil unit installation is not firm, resulting in system resonance;

2. The bearing of the fan motor is worn, resulting in eccentric operation of the fan motor and noise;

3, the fan blade deformation, scraping other parts;

4. During transportation or installation, the fan coil is deformed, which makes the fan bearing or bearing seat not concentric and produces noise.

5. It also has a lot to do with the winding of the motor itself. If there is no fundamental change in the high-speed gear after replacing the capacitor, it is recommended to directly replace the motor.

III. The fan coil motor does not turn.

Power on to check whether the fan coil unit power supply is normal; if there is no power output, check whether the power supply is faulty; Then, check the speed control switch. If the above two conditions are not true, check whether the impeller is stuck. Because the electric power of the fan coil is relatively low, a little resistance may be stuck. At this time, we need to observe and check in time.

IV. Fan coil air volume is normal, the supply air temperature deviation:

Most of these failures are in the coil water supply and return system. First, check whether the water supply temperature is normal and the water quantity is normal. If the temperature difference between water supply and return pipe is large, it is mostly caused by the blockage of the inlet filter or the gas in the pipeline.

In addition, sharp bends, slag storage points and gas gathering points should be avoided as far as possible in the construction process. Although the specification requires that exhaust valves and blowdown valves should be set at high points and low points, it is often difficult to achieve them on the construction site. Flush and drain as much as possible after installation. During operation, the water filter should be cleaned frequently to keep the pipeline unblocked.

V. fan coil water leakage:

1. If the water leaks out of the water collecting tray of the fan coil, it is mainly due to the problem of the thermal insulation material, which needs to be strengthened and can be eliminated.

2. If the water leaks in the water collecting tray, it means that the condensate pipe of the fan coil is blocked and the condensate overflows. We just need to dredge the condensate pipe or blow it with a gas cylinder.

3. If the condensate drain pipe is always blocked, water will often leak from the top. Besides regular cleaning, it is recommended to thoroughly wash and remove the scale systematically, and check whether the fan coil return air outlet is equipped with a filter screen and whether the installation slope of the pipe meets the requirements.
