It is important that a wetsuit fits your body well and is not too big. This prevents water from flowing in and the function of the wetsuit is lost. The wetsuit should also not be too tight. This will cause you to lose freedom of movement and paddling will also become more difficult. As soon as you try on a wetsuit, first make sure that the wetsuit fits correctly. First pull the knee pieces firmly onto your knee and then put on the wetsuit. Once the wetsuit is on, squat down. This ensures that the wetsuit also sits in the right places on the upper body.

You can recognize a wetsuit that is too small by the following:
You feel like you shoulders are being pushed down.
The neoprene will ‘shine’. Shining means that the neoprene is being stretched and is therefore an indication of a wetsuit that is too small.
New wetsuits are often very tight. We call it ‘factory standard’. The great thing about neoprene is that it stretches as soon as it comes into water. The wetsuit will mold to your body as soon as you enter the water with it. Don't immediately think that the wetsuit is too small if it feels very tight.

You can recognize a wetsuit that is too large by the following:
You still have length left in the arms and legs.
You have a lot of room left at the lower back.
You can easily get your fingers between your neck and the wetsuit.
If you try to grab the wetsuit on the arms, for example, you will immediately have a lot of neoprene in your hands.
