Fish Tank - Project!

Fish Tank - Project!

Week 3

Good day everyone.

During my childhood, I have always been fond of pet animals, and my parents never accepted the request. That was because of two major reasons. Firstly, we were not that great financially, and secondly, the house was small to keep (Fish/Dog) at home.

Though I have adopted 2-3 street pups and I tried raising them. Though I was happy with the pups I was not able to get them vaccinated/dewormed or buy a neckband/chain. At least the dream about the dog was full-filled.

Today's story is about the FISH TANK. Near my school, there was a newly opened Colour fish shop with decorated lights and backgrounds. When I walked inside I was inquired about the price of fish and tanks. I was not even near with the savings I had. I came back silently. Every time when dad used to drop/pick me up from school I used to skip that road intentionally.

When I expressed my wish of buying a fish tank to my mother, she explained to me that we don't have a place to keep it in our house. She gave me a used Horlicks bottle (which used to come in glass) at that time. But I knew that was not the real reason. Then she gave me 5 rupees from her purse to buy a couple of fish.

I ran with big enthusiasm and got a couple of guppies fishes and decorated the Horlicks bottle with grass near my home. Then my dad told me we should feed it and that cost around 15 rupees and I need to wait for 2 more weeks to save that money. I dug sand near my house and got a few worms to feed that. It didn't work out. One of my friends gave me some feedings in the small vapor bottle.

My younger brother was very happy and excited to see fish in close, accidentally it slipped from the shelf which we kept. The bottle was broken and we had the fish in a small plastic bucket and it died in 2-3 days. It was very painful and I couldn't tolerate and kept my anger with my brother for the next 2-3weeks.

Drinking ice water from the fridge is a happy task for myself and my brother. We do not have a fridge and it was there at my cousin's place. Every time we used to go there just to feel the chillness from the fridge and eat ice cubes as snacks.

Likewise one day, we went to my cousin's place and saw the old fridge outside which was replaced by the brand new Samsung fridge. We had new ice cubes and a bottle of ice water and I was happily starring the new fridge.

My younger brother's eyes were at the old fridge and I was noticing him. My cousin's father told me they will be giving that old fridge to another family friend. My brother suddenly stood up and asked them can I take that vegetable basket which is inside the fridge. I was clueless, about why he is asking this.

Yes okay was the answer came from my cousin's family. My brother happily opened the fridge. Took that veggies box outside and cleaned it. He presented me with a big smile ( I still remember that smile on his face). He told Anna I got your fish tank back. Though it was not transparent from the outside it was a better fish tank than a Horlicks bottle.

We happily went home and decorated like a Christmas celebration and purchased fish for 20-30 rupees. First time I got goldfish, molly, and guppies. Dad sponsored the fish feedings while returning from his workplace.

Today I have an imported fish tank of 6*6 size with a big-sized fish. I also work for a big glass manufacturing company that produces hundreds of tons of glass produced every day. I can see all types of glasses on daily basis at the production line. This all happened because I used all my small opportunities to make my life beautiful. Again I repeat

Use your small opportunities to make your life beautiful.
