First year chronicles @ Work

On January 5th, 2024, I marked the first work anniversary at eClinical Solutions . Time flies when you're surrounded by an incredible team and working towards shared goals. Last year’s journey was challenging due to macro-economic conditions, industry headwinds and various other factors. But when we work in a people first organization with great values, we can turn the challenges into opportunities and make the journey exciting, rewarding, and fulfilling. Grateful for the milestones we've achieved together as “OneTeam” and excited for the journey ahead. Here's to continued collaboration, growth, transformation, and excellence. Cheers to many more years of success and camaraderie!

On this occasion I thought of penning down my experiences and thoughts from this one-year journey at eClinical Solutions.

We have a young, dynamic, and diversified talent working in product and service lines. So, every day is a unique experience to lead this talented and dedicated team of individuals who share a common goal and commitment to strive for excellence.

Like any other leadership role, it comes with its share of challenges, but I take these challenges as opportunities for continuous improvement. We encourage feedback and are always looking for ways to enhance our processes and promote a positive and healthy work culture.

To summarize, leading teams at eClinical Solutions India is a fulfilling journey filled with growth, transformation, collaboration, and a shared commitment to success.

Building a robust employer branding is crucial for attracting and retaining top talent. Here are a few steps that we, at eClinical Solutions India have taken in the past one year to strengthen our employer brand:

  • Our USP: We are a software product as well as software services company. Our employees get to work collaboratively with both product and service teams, gaining unique experience and building their careers to become leaders in the industry.
  • Transparent and seamless hiring process: We have created a hiring process which provides a positive and seamless experience for candidates which ensures transparent communication and continuous feedback at every stage of the hiring process.
  • Leveraging social media: Sharing employee experiences via social media like work life events, employee testimonials, success stories and company updates which highlight our culture and values.
  • Talent Development: We are committed to helping our employees upskill and enhance cross functional skills via various programs like Leadership Development Programs, Management Development Programs, Knowledge Sharing Sessions, On-demand training programs, professional memberships, certifications etc.
  • Rewards and Recognition: We have multiple ways to recognize and reward our employees via Spot Award, Power of Appreciation, Long Service Award, Innovation Award, Rookie of the Year Award to name a few.

We want to continue to make eClinical Solutions India one of the best places to work in our industry by creating a positive culture where everyone comes to the office looking forward to work collaboratively, meet colleagues, improve their skills and capabilities and at the same time have fun. We have been certified recently as “Great Place to Work” which reinforced our path to make this the best place to work.

As Head of India Operations, ensuring Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) requires a commitment to foster a culture of diversity and fairness especially when we have an inhouse talent coming from 14 different states of India and speaking 13 different languages as their mother tongue.

  • We actively look for diversity in leadership roles and at all levels of employment. We have an inclusive hiring process to source diverse profiles, transparent reviews, and standardized interview processes to ensure fairness and equality of opportunity.
  • We ensure that compensation, rewards, recognition, and benefits are fair and equitable for all employees.
  • We have established an Employee Engagement Council as an umbrella that provide a platform for employees to connect, celebrate, showcase their talent, and contribute to the society at large through various clubs like, sports, arts, photography, corporate social responsibility, drama, music, dance, editorial board etc.
  • We have flexible working arrangements that accommodate diverse needs of life promoting a more inclusive and supportive work culture.
  • We constantly review and update our company policies and processes to ensure they are inclusive and promote diversity and equity.
  • We have laid a strong emphasis on an open communication and a supportive culture, which has been instrumental in overcoming challenges and achieving our goals and objectives of DEI.
