First volume published in new series

I am very excited to announce the first book in our new series with #SPIE has just published. Metal Halide Perovskites for Generation, Manipulation and Detection of Light, edited by Juan P. Martínez Pastor , Pablo P. Boix, and Guichuan Xing, covers the current state and future prospects of lead halide perovskite photonics and photon sources, both from an academic and industrial point-of-view. Advances in metal halide perovskite photon sources (lasers) based on thin films, microcrystals and nanocrystals are comprehensively reviewed, with leading experts contributing current advances in theory, fundamental concepts, fabrication techniques, experiments and other important research innovations.

This book is the first to appear in our new Photonic Materials and Applications series in collaboration with SPIE, series editor Lorenzo Pavesi . The series takes an applied approach from the materials science and engineering perspective and examines the latest important topics in photonics and advances in this discipline’s underlying science and applications. Volumes in the series focus on advanced research topics in engineered and natural photonic materials and their applications, and are suitable for an interdisciplinary audience of researchers and practitioners in materials science, engineering, and the physical sciences. Future volumes in the series that will publish soon include:

Metamaterials-by-Design: Theory, Technologies, and Vision edited by Andrea Alù , Nader Engheta, Andrea Massa, and Giacomo Oliveri

Neuromorphic Photonic Devices and Applications edited by Min Gu, Elena Goi, Yangyundou Wang, Zhengfen Wan, Yibo Dong, Yuchao Zhang, and Haoyi Yu
