“THE FIRST TWO WERE HIGH AND TIGHT, SO WHERE DO YOU THINK THE NEXT ONE’S GONNA BE?”

I love baseball, and this quote from the movie Field of Dreams? featuring Kevin Costner and Ray Liotta as Shoeless Joe Jackson, resonates with the business climate we are experiencing today.

As I reach out to my clients of late, I hear the uncertainty in their voices. I sense the urgency to do something - however It’s masked in the fear of not knowing if the next pitch will be “low and away or in their ear?”- as in the movie, Shoeless Joe offers batting advice to rookie Archie “Moonlight” Graham at the plate.

Another great quote from the same movie comes from Burt Lancaster who portrays the elder Dr. Archibald “Moonlight” Graham who says, “You know, we just don’t recognize the most significant moments of our lives while they’re happening.”

This is a significant moment in our lives. We can stand in our business batter’s box and take the next pitch and hope for the best, or we can swing, fighting off pitches until we drop ?in a hit.

New business homeruns may be a bit harder to come by right now however your batting average and your ability to score can only increase if you take quality swings at quality opportunities.

A “new season” of business opportunity has begun and opposing teams (your competition) will not be standing in the batter’s box hoping for a walk.  They will come out swinging aggressively for new customers – your customers. Are you ready?

Physical branding, advertising, and marketing materials have played a key role in a successful buying process for decades. They’re the “tools of persuasion” buyers need to determine color, finish and styles of products. With in-person meetings on hold and tradeshows postponed, their importance is greater than ever.

Imagine the power of complimenting now popular virtual conversations or website visits with a direct mail piece of precisely color matched marketing materials that stand out from a downloaded PDF or home printer copy from the competition. Which would you want to choose from if you were the buyer?

I create marketing materials that precisely showcase product colors, styles, and finishes - and my company has been doing this before any of us were even alive (93 years and counting).

I know what works - and what doesn’t. I’m respectful of your time and your budget.  I create perfectly matched color cards, fan decks, displays and salesperson samples that close deals, and I can help your company do the same.
