“Home Inspections – Your secret weapon!”

So, your offer has been accepted, you’ve got colors picked out and already have the mental pictures of where your furniture is going to go in your new home! Not so fast, don’t pack your bags just yet! Your next step is to decide on and order your home inspections – and quickly! Your mortgage lender will not require you to have your home inspected, but choosing to forgo in order to save a couple bucks now could costs you big bucks down the road! A general home inspection is a great way to have a subjective and insured 3rd party verify the structure of the home. You and I might be able to spot a crack in the drywall, the inspector will tell you if you have a crack in your foundation! From heating and cooling to shingles and gutters, they’ll have you covered.

Most importantly, if something major was found in the home inspection, you have the right to request repairs, re-negotiate or walk away!
