The First Step to Social Media

There is so much information about Social Media and how to use it to Engage for Profit – Build your Brand and your Profile.

We can become very overwhelmed and frustrated with all the information at our finger tips. Do this and do that, this platform is working or you should be doing this or that etc etc. I’m sure you can all agree here.

Today I will share with you the first step to the successful use of Social Media and that is: –

Defining your purpose…

Why are you using Social Media? Ask yourself this question: Are you going to use Social Media for Business or Personal reasons.

Answering this question will determine your next steps.

I am going to help you to define the first step if you are wanting to use Social Media to build your profile and business online.

Step 1 – Have a plan…

Anything we do in business is only successful if we have a plan. As the saying goes fail to plan and you plan to fail.  There is no point to haphazardly posting, you need to have a strange, a PLAN.

So firstly you need to define “WHY YOU?”

Why would anyone want to engage with you on Social Media?

What attracts people to you and what do you have to offer?

Now I really want you to “Break Your Brain” when it comes to this. You will need to put some REAL time and effort into writing down your ideas here.

What is the VALUE that you bring to others? How are you going to help them? What’s in it for them… Social Media for Business is NOT about you it’s about your Client or Customer. They will only Connect and Engage with you if they feel you have something that Solves their problem and they TRUST you.

So, go now, get to it and start writing out and defining “WHY YOU”
