The First Step

The First Step

Just about a year ago, I made what seemed to me as an earth-shatteringly difficult decision: I resigned from my corporate job. Some people may think “What is the big deal about quitting a job? Many people do it and it’s just a job”. Although that may be true for many, quitting a job was a big deal to me. It was a big deal because this job meant a goal for which I worked so hard for many years and this employer (with all our love-hate relationship) meant a home ground. So, the decision to quit my job meant I am changing my goal, my path. And I left with this quote in my farewell email:

“There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view.”

– F. Scott Fitzgerald

After my resignation, I forced myself to take a break. I was burnt out and in need of physical and mental space to rest and think about what I want. I did exactly that.

I am ever more grateful that I was able to explore. I saw different parts of the world, met amazing people, and experienced and learned new things. Most importantly, I am thrilled that I finally started my own business, dBias Lab. There are moments when I feel like I can conquer the world and then there are moments when I feel doubtful. But I know what I believe in, what I want to achieve, what I am capable of doing, and that I am strong enough to fail with enthusiasm and succeed with humility.

Let me introduce myself:
