The PNW Aerospace Expo is the first annual public outreach event planned by the student leadership of the Portland State University (PSU) student branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The PSU Aerospace Society is in partnership with the national and Pacific NW AIAA organizations, the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, and the Viking Mission Mars Lander Preservation Project. This event advocates for Portland and the Pacific NW regional public about the benefits of the aerospace industry, how it has contributed to our quality of life, and the opportunities available to students seeking a career in Aerospace.
Additionally, we want to make Portland State University and the local community aware of the amazing aerospace activity going on right here in our home area. We are building Oregon's very first satellite - OreSat and competing to be the first university to send a liquid propellant rocket to the edge of space (click links to read recent news releases about these projects)!
